To legally and Islamically get married in Morocco, the following below can be of use.
This process is called Nikkah or Act of Marriage.
Requirements for Foreigner:
1) Obtain necessary documents before coming to Morocco: The foreigner will need to obtain their original birth certificate, a police clearance certificate or criminal record check, job letter with annual salary, copy of national identity card (e.g. health card or immigration record), copy of certificate of residence (e.g. driver’s license), from their home country. These documents will need to be certified copies, this can be done by going to a lawyer and having them stamp it to confirm it is the original copy. Furthermore, when you are in Morocco you must translate these documents into Arabic by an official translator.
2) Obtain a certificate of non-impediment: The foreigner will need to obtain a certificate of non-impediment from their embassy or consulate in Morocco, which confirms that they are legally free to marry. You also need Capacite de Mariage and Attestation de Nationalite. I got all of these from the Canadian embassy in Rabat, Morocco, but had to make an appointment one month in advance. For the certificate of non-impediment and attestation you need both stamped by the ministry of foreign affairs in Rabat.
3) If you have been previously married, you need a certified copy of a divorce contract.
4) Copy of Passport and copy of page showing the date of entry to Morocco.
5) A contract of conversion to Islam or indicating you are originally muslim. For a foreign man to marry a Moroccan women legally and Islamically in Morocco, he needs to be muslim and show proof that he is. Sometimes your name or passport can help (for example my Pakistani passport stated my religion).
6) When in Morocco, you need another criminal record check by the local police, a medical certificate, and about 10 recent passport-sized photos of yourself.
Requirements for Moroccan (Local):
1) A full copy of birth certificate.
2) Criminal record check.
3) A copy of divorce fee or divorce judgement if there was a previous marriage.
4) Copy of national identification card.
5) Medical certificate.
6) Engagement Certificate.
7) About 10 recent passport-sized photos of yourself.
Once you have all these documents, you should get them translated. We got a translator in Marrakesh (Traducteur Mouatassim), he was really helpful and works with the court so he knows all the procedures.
If you need help ask a Adoul for the breakdown or a translator from the courts to help you.
I also got interviewed by the police in Marrakesh. We had to submit all our documents which were translated and photos to the courts. Then you have to wait for the court to give you permission to do the Nikkah.
Finally, you can go to an Adoul and they will help you with getting married both legally and Islamically.
For our process from when I arrived to Morocco till getting permission to getting married, it took under a week alhamdulillah. But each person is different and depends on the city. My friend who is Canadian too, it took him 1 month.

since I have great interest in choosing a bride from Morocco. I like their culture.

No worries brother. I would say download Muslim dating apps and sometimes you can change and filter the locations. If no luck, then just travel to Morocco and use any dating app there. Ofc if the girl and you get along and you love each other then Insha’allah you both can marry. But everything depends on the girl and her parents. Good luck.

Salaam brother, just wanted to ask you about the few things with regards to the documents. Do I have to get my police certificate attested and appostiled too as I am from UK. Also the girl does she need a certificate of single status and her parents consent letter as someone told me that she needs that for Adoul. Because for Moroccan partner you have only stated few documents. And do I need all my documents attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rabat Morocco? And how do you get a local police check certificate? Will that also be from Rabat or can I get it from Marrakesh?

Walaikum assalaam brother. For the police certificate I just got mine stamped by a lawyer that stated it was the original copy. I’m not too sure about the single status or parents consent letter. My wife just got her engagement certificate. For Moroccan locals they don’t ask for too many documents. You just need the certificate of non-impediment and attestation to be stamped by the ministry of foreign affairs in Rabat. For the local police station I went to one in Marrakech. It can be any city close to you.

Thank you for the info. It is really helpful. I wanted to ask you if the papers you get from your home country have an expiry date( given that we obtained them a while ago and we are yet to do the nikkah). Also, do the job letter and salaries slip also have to be translated? Do we have to take an appointment to go to the police station and how long does it take to get the certificate? And can the national ID not serve as a certificate of residence ( can this also be a residence permit certificate ?)
