The iPhone XR in my opinion is a fantastic phone and super fun and easy to use, with loads of new features. This is the cheaper version of the iPhone XS, yet still a high price tag. The trade-off when compared to the iPhone XS, is that the XS has a better camera and the screen is an OLED and better quality. But is the $350 CAD price difference between the two phones, worth it? Probably not. I think you should get the iPhone XR and save that $350 or get Apple Care.

The iPhone XR has a wide range of colours compared to any iPhone. There is white, black, blue, yellow, coral and red. It is available in 3 sizes: 64gb, 128gb and 256gb. The price are $1029, $1099 and $1239, all Canadian Dollars, chronologically.
The battery life for the iPhone XR is pretty awesome, usually by the end of the day itβs at 50%. The battery life is better the the XS since, the XR has a lower resolution screen. They say the screen resolution for the iPhone XR is 720p. When comparing to my previous phone, iPhone 7, it had a screen resolution of 1080p. However, the XR resolution still seems much better and crisp. This could be due the fact that it is an LCD and pixels here are not the full picture.
In terms of the processors being used. All the new iPhones use the same processor, the A12 chip. The iPhone XR and XS have the same processor. A faster processor helps with making the facial recognition respond instantly, using the camera for pictures or recording in 4k or running multiple apps and more.

There is no fingerprint scanner, and you have to look at the phone to unlock it. It even works with sunglasses or prescription ones, I’ve tried it :). You can unlock the iPhone using a passcode as well. If you double tap the power button, you enter apple pay. Apple pay is pretty sweet and you can link you credit card to it. This way you never have to take out your credit card, only your phone. Apple is launching its own credit card too, looks unreal. Check it out! https://www.apple.com/apple-card/

The rear camera can record 4k videos at 60fps and is 12 megapixels. While the front camera can record up to 1080p. The camera for me is perfect. Although, it is not as good or on par with phones that are half its price, like the Google Pixel 3a.
Here are some pictures shot on the iPhone XR.
